The Plan
What are our aims and what are we going to try and do?
We believe that having a goal to hit is how you succeed, both in footballing terms and in life. With that in mind we've set out some goals for the club that go beyond the day to day running of the club and try and set some ambitions.
We want to set goals that are bigger than what we are now, something to aim for. This may mean not be that all our players are with us on these journeys, or that anyone at the club is still involved when the club reaches its end goal... but we're all here for our part of the journeys, supporting and developing with the club.
Goals
These are our immediate goals that we want to achieve:
- To promote recreational activities, mutual support and joint aid among our members.
- To establish a sports club and participate in football activities.
- Develop a safe space for people to enjoy and practice football.
- Have a positive effect on mental health and wellbeing of all involved
- Develop positive community ties and an image of trust.
- Raise money for charities
- Help players gain confidence
- Help players gain fitness
- Develop a support frame work for each player
- Establish a community team, playing in the flourish league
- Raise £1k per annum for recognised charities.
Five Year Goals
In five years time we should have achieved the following:
- Establish an adults Sunday League Team
- Establish a community team, playing in the flourish league
- Establish a women's team
- Establish pathways for youth development through affiliations to local youth teams.
- Establish pathways for adult development by communicating opportunities to other teams and players where applicable.
Ten Year Goals
In ten years time we should have achieved the following (or making progress towards them):
- Making progress to enter the football national league system.
- Have supported 100 players
- Have signposted players successfully to play at a semi professional level
