First game in the official home kit for SSHAFC and we're away at Sands United in Doncaster - a great cause if you want to check them out.

A strong start for Seven Hills saw chances created in the first couple of minutes, but against the run of play Sands go one up. Seven Hills heads didn't drop, which is an important improvement on the past, and quickly hit back with a quick double to go 2-1 up with only 10 minutes played. This game has goals.

Some questionable refereeing saw frustrations come through and a penalty was conceded by Seven Hills bringing the score back to 2-2.

But the strength of character showed out, and the Seven Hills would eventually take a 5-3 lead into half time.

The second half start much in the same fashion, with Seven Hills taking another quick goal to go 6-3 up, and then the game went more end to end. With both teams creating chances and both keepers pulling saves off some fine saves. Especially JT in Seven Hills goal for the first time today. With 20 minutes left on the clock manager Gaz came on for Mark and with his first touch made 7-3. The game would play out to the final whistle give Seven Hills their first win.

Word from the manager:

"I thought we played some great football today and battle well.

The CB's adapted really well to Sands threat and listening to advice given from the sides… full backs attacking ability help us to quickly link up with the middle of the park really well.

Our midfield worked hard all game battling away till the final whistle while our wingers both created and was a threat every time we went forward.

Joe starting up front for the first time did a cracking job up too… hassling their back four and bagging his first goal.

Mentions for JR did a lot of the dirty work filling in to positions covering and to JT for going in goal.

A great overall team win and our 1st well done lads proud manager today!"
